On 21st August 2008, the agreement was signed on the formation of the law firm
“Volkov Koziakov and Partners”, created after a merger of two well-known players
in the Ukrainian legal market – Volkov and Partners Law Firm and Sergei Koziakov
and Partners Law Offices.
The firm Sergei Koziakov and Partners was founded
in 1994 and is one of the leaders in the fields of judicial contest, investment
and international trading law, and antimonopoly regulation.
Volkov and
Partners Law Firm was founded in 2005, and in a short space of time became one
of the leaders among Ukrainian law firms in such practice fields as corporate
law, mergers and acquisitions, antimonopoly regulation and real estate,
aviation, oil and gas.
Both firms have earned an exceptional reputation
during these years among both their Ukrainian and international clients as well
as with their legal colleagues. This has been acknowledged several times by the
media both in Ukraine and abroad, and also by rating and information systems
including IFLR 1000, Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, Global Council 3000 and
PLC Which Lawyer.
