On 21st August 2008, the agreement was signed on the formation of the
law firm “Volkov Koziakov and Partners”, created after a merger of two
well-known players in the Ukrainian legal market – Volkov and Partners
Law Firm and Sergei Koziakov and Partners Law Offices.
The international spring conference of the worldwide legal network TAGLaw was held in Berlin between the 5th and 7th May, during the course of which questions relating to management and marketing in the legal profession were addressed. Discussions about the most relevant current legal problems also took place.
Volkov & Partners law firm was the legal advisor to Belvedere Ukraine LLC. It supervised transactions during the acquisition of The Cherkassy Alcoholic Beverage Plant LLC.
Volkov & Partners successfully represented Kuwait Energy Company in a transaction regarding the acquisition of the Ukrainian assets of Cardinal Resources PLC.
Volkov and Partners Law Firm has become the legal advisor to the Bank
of Georgia in the deal for the acquisition of 98.77% of the shares of
the Open Joint Stock Company ‘The Universal Bank of Development and
Partnership’ (UBDP, Kyiv) for $81.7 million.
On November 14, 2007 Volkov & Partners Law Firm received an official congratulation for its accession to the international legal network TAGLaw. TAGLaw unites 150 firms in 100 countries.
